The 2025 SpringMill Cup was held was held April 26 & 27.  This event pits the Fort Mill Men's Association against the Springfield Men's Association.  This was the 11th year, Fort Mill was 9-1 heading into this year's event, with Springfield breaking through last year with their first win.  This is a 2-day event held at the same course both days.  This year, Fort Mill was guided by Captain Shane Whitman.  After day one, modified alternate shot, Springfield held a lead to 29.5-24.5.  Sunday was singles & team matches with the bulk of the points available.  Fort Mill came out fast and had erased the Springfield lead after 2 matches were complete.  From there is was close all day as each match came in.  Out of 18 matches, with just 4 matches remaining Fort Mill held a 1-point lead.  The Fort Mill team won the last 4 matches lead by the team of Gary Munroe and Dan Page winning 9-0.  The Cup is back where it belongs as Captain Whitman placed back in the Pro Shop at Fort Mill Golf Club after a long celebration on the deck by the Fort Mill Team!!!

Additionally, I know there have been a lot of questions on how our team is selected and how you get on the team.  There are 2 ways to get on the team:  you auto-qualify - listed below or you are a captain's pick.  It is very difficult to be the captain of this tournament.  We typically have 32-36 spots total, of which about 15 are auto-qualifiers. That leaves 20 or so captain's picks from a list of 50-60 people, so you have to tell more people no that yes.

- Win the overall at the Member Guest
- Win your flight in the Member Member Tournament
- Win your flight in the FMMGA Championship
