Always a fan favorite, the annual 3x6 tournament was held this past Saturday 2/28.  The weather was OK and thanks for the sun coming out AFTER our rounds were completed!  The course was in outstanding condition, and the nacho bar was a big hit (thanks Anita & Carol).  Thanks to Dennis and all his staff for their continued support of the FMMGA.  Without this group of people mentioned above, FMMGA tournaments just wouldn't be the same ... so THANK YOU ALL!!!

We would also be remiss if we didn't mention that the day was that much better by having our old friends stop by and share the 19^th hole with us.  It was just like old times with David Gies and Bill Young stopping by ... don't be strangers David & Bill!!!

Now on to the tournament results ... 36 teams participated and were divided into 4 separate flights.  Three different formats for six-hole sessions resulted in some interesting shots, conversations, and tests of friendships! 

Now on to the tournament results:

1st Flight

• Gross (67) - Mike Granger & Jackson Windell ... their round was highlighted by 8 birdies, 6 of those were from hole 7 thru 12!!!
• Net (67) - Jason Steiner & Wilson Vaughn ... it's about time that Jason finally won a tournament at FMGC with a NET score!!!
• Honorable mention - fan favorites Dave Sturick & Richard Hilton took home the title of DFL with a slick Gross 82 / Net 83 ... solid playing fellas!!!

2nd Flight

• Gross (72) - Bill Layle & Chris Layle ... father/son combo eagle on hole 9 highlights the round ... maybe this takes the member/guest "sting" out a little?!?!?
• Net (69) - Jesse Hartley & Kody Hartley ... solid 3 birdie round from another father/son combo ... just how many Hartley's are there???

3rd Flight

• Gross (74) /  Net (63) - Tim Plumer & Steve Giampietro / Bill Ross & David Bowman ... the playoff for gross/net came down to a vicious game of paper/rock/scissors and the results are still being calculated by the law firm of Dewey, Cheatam & Howe ... but seriously ... great playing by both teams to overcome doubles and triples to win this hard fought flight ... 

4th Flight

• Gross (80) - Steve Sullivan & Matt Layne ... Mr. Tuesday night and Anand's "former partner" posted a solid round with multiple birdies!!!
• Net (59) - Ron Ledoux & Bill Cotter ... last and certainly not least we had this duo shoot the low NET score of the tourney ... and for those asking ... YES their handicaps are currently under review with the FMMGA handicap committee!!!
